The six day war

The six day war.

The war is about Egypt who wanted to isolate Israel, because they wanted more land. They both wanted Syria. After a while Egypt started to gather a group of soldiers, and soon after they were ready for war against Israel. Israel didn't know anything about this, and therefore they were unprepared. I think that it was a part of the plan, so that it would be easier for Egypt to win the war. But Israel quickly gathered their own soldiers and fought back, which came as a surprise for Egypt. The UN tried to come with a peace settlement but none of them wanted to listen. Both countries sad: Yes, if they don’t attack any more, and give us the land that we want.

The parties are Israel and Egypt. They were fighting about who should own Syria, and I would say that Egypt started the fight and Israel ended it, because Egypt where the one to tock the first step by gathering an army, and later declare war against Israel. But I would also say that Israel where the one to end it because they managed to build up an army so fast that Egypt where surprised, and in that way they also want the war.

The war was executed mostly on land, but also at the sea. The Israeli Air Force managed to destroy the Egyptian planes. This because they used a double agent. At sea, neither of the parties are known to do more than intimidate each other

The war ended when Israel conquers the Golan Heights. Only then Israel where willing to accept the UN’s requirements and peace settlement. And the 10. July 1967 the war ended. To see more click here. To se more of my sources click here and here.
