Deep ecologi

Deep ecoogi and wildlife.

Here is my homework about deep ecologi and wildlife. We got an assessment where we had to write a text about deep ecologi and how this effects our planet and the wildlife, what I think people should do about it, and a little bit about the ozon layar. I hope you enjoy it!

Deep ecology is a contemporary ecological philosophy that recognizes an inherent worth of all living beings, regardless of their instrumental utility to human needs. It’s about how to preserve the nature, and how the humans expose the earth. We humans pollute the earth. We want to live our life as comfortable as possible. Deep ecology tells us how to liv our life, without exposing the environment for heavy pollution.

The phrase "deep ecology" was coined by the Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss in 1973, and he helped give it a theoretical foundation. An anonymus writer once said, "For Arne Næss, ecological science, concerned with facts and logic alone, cannot answer ethical questions about how we should live. For this we need ecological wisdom. Deep ecology seeks to develop this by focusing on deep experience, deep questioning and deep commitment. These constitute an interconnected system. Each gives rise to and supports the other, whilst the entire system is, what Næss would call, an ecosophy: an evolving but consistent philosophy of being, thinking and acting in the world, that embodies ecological wisdom and harmony."

Arne Næss

Around the earth there is an ozone layer. The ozone layer protects the humans from the sun. We humans produce CO¬2 and other toxic gasses. These gases burn holes in the ozone layer, the ozone layer is extremely important to the earth and it is impossible to live here without the ozone layer, therefore is it important to preserve it.

On earth there is a lot of people producing a lot of CO-2 by driving cars, plains and other things that use fossil fuels. This is bad for the ozone layar. The politicans work on this problem every day, and it is important that they continue doing what they do. We need to reduce the emissions of CO-2, so that we do not destroy the ozon layar. If we destroy the ozon layar and it gets "broken", it will not only be a threat to us humans, but also to the wild life. Wildlife is really important to us, it gives us almost everything we need. From wildlife we get food, clothes and other basic resources. Pollution is not the only thing that is threatening wildlife, hunting and destruction of animal habitats. Now I think that it is important that we start to think more about the planet and wild life and start thinking about what we destroy by driving cars etc. every day.

Dear Diary

2 months ago we watched a film in class, Mississippi burning was the name of the movie. Some weeks later we got an assignment about this movie, where we could choose between some tasks. I chose to write a part of a diary.

Hi again, dear diary.

I'm so tired. I go to school every day (as a white girl), and everything I see around me is white. White walls, white flors, white school uniforms, white lockers and white students. Often I wonder what it would be like if a colored person had went to this that school. I think that would be nice, I want to get to know them, but the colored people is not allowed to go to that school. If I could decide, all teenages, black or white, should go to the same school, use the same toilets and be able to talk friendly to each other. In America now, there are toilets for colored people, and for white people, and colored- and white people are not supposed to like eatch other. Some times a group colored people go together and protest agains this. They no longer want to live under the white people, but be their own people.

Today one of my best friends told me that she hated "the blacks", and I couldent do anything to show that I disagreed. I just stood there looking at her and told her I agreed, but I don't agree at all, I hate it when someone talkes like that, but everyone does. It's hard for me to stand up alone, I'm just not tough enough, but I wish I were.

Later me and my best firend, Maggie, went to a café to drink coca cola and do homework. Maggie's mother workes there and she always helps us with our homework when she has time, but today something happend. We were just outside the door when we heard the alarm started to shout, loudly. I hated that sound , it nearly made my ears eksplode. Just after the bell rang people started to svream, but cuickly it was quiet. Maggie and I looked at eatch other with frighted eyes. With small steps Maggie and I walked to the window to take a look inside. A minute later a colored man stands up in the middle of the café with a gun in his heands screaming: "We want blacks and whites together, you can no longer decide for us what to do. From now on we should be one.

Malta

This is my homework for Wednesday 27. march 2012. I was supposed to write about Maltese history, geography and language.

Malta is an island nation in the middle of the Mediterranean, about. 93 km south of the Sicily

There have lived people on the islands since 5200 B.C. Ca 400 B.C the Carthage was in charge of the islands, after them the romans ruled there. Ever since the romans ruled on Malta, the islands has been an Christian nation. When the Roman Empire split into Eastern and Western divisions in the 4th century, Malta fell under the control of the Greek speaking Byzantine Empire from 395 to 870, which ruled from Constantinople. Although Malta was under Byzantine rule for four centuries, not much is known from this period. There is evidence that Germanic tribes, including the Goths and Vandals, briefly took control of the islands before the Byzantines launched a counter attack and retook Malta.

In year 870 the Arabs took control of Malta, they had a great influence on the Maltese language. The Maltese language is based on the Arabic language, and some words are the same in both languages.

Kony 2012
